About Justin
Justin has many years’ experience in Finance working in large and small companies in a variety of industries, mostly around the Midlands and at times with overseas responsibilities. Justin studied finance and management in Sheffield before starting his career, studying for professional exams and settling in Nottingham.
He has managed teams in operations, distribution, estimating, human resources and IT at different times while still retaining the finance function. It is the insight and opportunity to take an overview of business which most interests him and he enjoys small and medium enterprises rather than large corporations as they afford the chance to get involved in a variety of areas and make a bigger impact. He is as happy rolling up his sleeves and getting into the detail as he is stepping back and taking a more strategic view.
Personal Interests
He lives with his wife, who has a career in education, and has two grown up children; a son who is a mechanical engineer and a daughter starting a career in musical theatre. Justin met his wife at Nottingham Rowing Club where the club parties held as much attraction as the sport itself. These days he keeps fit by jogging and has completed a few triathlons and half marathons in the past although weekend walking is more the norm these days.
Justin has been a long-time supporter of Nottingham Forest and attends some home matches with his son and this season they have also been able to follow their team to matches in Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands.
